AIS - Expedition

             Our surrounding world for thousands ades continued and continues surprise us by its natural beauty of mysterious and often amazing places that are in it. In this blog, you will find out a lot of interesting things about the labyrinth which is located in Salzburg, Austria as well as get you acquainted with it hided ideas, meanings, clues and symbols. We are AIS - Expedition, which is headed by our leader Mr. Kevin Fox, and we are those who suppose to familiarize you with that knowledge. Read carefully and enjoy.
                                                           Labyrinth - your subconscious.
            I greet you my dear young friends, and those who want to explore the labyrinth. First of all, lets talk about the labyrinth in common.

This is how this labyrinth looks like.

          On this photo which is above is our main clue for a discussion. Yes, it looks different than other simple labyrinths, this the original one. If start to go through this labyrinth we'll explore that the central point where we want to get is so close to us while we there, and thats how it makes it original. 

For instance, imagine that this figure is our mind and think about the education. Yes, its like the time when you study something and you are getting closer and closer to a new knowledge which is the center of the labyrinth. This just a drawing on a paper but what if it exists somewhere on the earth surface... Yes, it does. It exists in Salzburg, Austria. So, lets take a look on it through the google map.

To do that you need, first of all to get here (https://www.google.ru/maps/@55.354135,40.297852,5z) and then write this in the search "Landeskrankenhaus Salzburg" and there you will find a labyrinth. Lets take a look on it. 

How you can see on this photos which were taken from satellite is our labyrinth.

        From this view you can understand that it looks like our drawn labyrinth but a little bit different. Of course you can already make judgments and predictions about this labyrinth but it doesn't looks like how you think on the picture. You need to be there. Of course you will say that you don't have any opportunities to come there and this is why we are going to travel there through photos which where taken on the expedition. So, lets do it!

And this how it exactly looks like, yes, you thought that it would be a labyrinth with walls which made from stones and they located above the ground, so did we. This is why you need to be there to understand. 

       Being on the ground there has a big difference than using a google map, because you view of it changes entirely. Its organize the way with which you think about space, it gives you controlling ideas of your surround area and you feel like you are in a different place, and yes it does. We can even say that it organizes space. Your perspective changes when you make a step there, so lets make it.

      From this step you understand that a trip through this labyrinth is waiting you. Everyone has their own thoughts about it and I'd like to share mine:" From the begging it seems like its nothing to get to a central point by going in it but its not. While you there, it creates the impression that you're in it for ages and you will never get to the central - point. Time loses its meaning and you think about staffs about which you didn't even think before. I spent exactly 4 minutes by leisurely pace to get to the point and that is amazing and mysterious."

     Coincidence or not but when I got to the middle, rain started and thunder started. I feel like labyrinth somehow have its own energy which makes you feel different.

     We also need to give our attention to a surrounding space, because this labyrinth located near to the main hospital and all ill people like to visit this place, so do we. Here are some examples:

      Sometimes we think about an exact object, such as this labyrinth, and its relations to something. We can even call this labyrinth map because map is a symbolic depiction highlighting relationships between elements of some space, such as objects, regions, and themes. Labyrinth is the object also with its own space and it makes them similar. Also, a good question:" What is the difference between map and terrain?" Terrain, or land relief, is the vertical and horizontal dimension of land surface, and it means that dimension from terrain and relationships to the object from map play different and main roles, also by its meanings.

        To conclude this expedition, I would say that this labyrinth is that place on earth where you can make decisions about something that really matters for, thinks about staffs and believe in yourself. The geographical imagination is how we structure our knowledge about the world and this labyrinth is a good example on how our imagination work because it was build by someone who used his mind and thats why its so connected to us.
